Novaflash has released Phyzmod, a free virtual synthesizer based on the Karplus-Strong string synthesis algorithm, available in VSTi plugin format for Windows (made with SynthEdit).
Based on a Karpus-Strong generator, Phyzmod provide rich and fresh sounds, not focused on strings or plucked sound as usual.
Phyzmod is available for free download via Novaflash.
