Cupwise has released a set of 3 free Nebula programs (compatible with Nebula Free) taken from their Cassette Deck 2 program library.
This set was made with an awesome German designed cassette deck, which can record/play at double speed (3 3/4 IPS). Wow/flutter and noise level is reduced in double speed mode, which helps with getting accurate samples, but also the high end is extended. It was also sampled in single speed mode.
In contrast with Cassette Deck 1, I would say that some of the effects from this deck are definitely NOT lo-fi sounding. Then there are others that are. I used many tapes, and did some things to get a variety of effects. More info about all that at the site, along with demo mp3 clips, and 3 demo programs that should work with Nebula free.
The programs are available for free download via Cupwise.

onI use Nebula Free with various third party free programs, and it rules.
Really, this is not the VCC hype.
Of course, it is not so simple to start using.
But when you understand the principle, use a DAW with good latency compensation and use the “reverb” version only…you got a really great tool.
And use offline rendering too : imprint the analog flavour chain (like preamp+tape) for fixed settings. It will help your CPU ;)
Thanks for those free Neb programs :D
