Hideaway Studio has released Enceladus, a free Kontakt instrument featuring the sound of the Akai VX-90 analog synthesizer.
Made this afternoon after dusting off an old VX90 analog polysynth and reminding myself how nice this thing sounds – real free running and detuned VCO’s and Curtis filters… It may be a bit of a pig to edit (and sadly no SysEx) but you can keep your DCOs Mr Juno-106, definitely underrated!
This twin octave multi was made using samples taken from the VX feeding a slow bright analog chorus and an old Rev 7 on Early Ref.1 (there is something about the sound of this old dinosaur which I really like!).
