Tristan Heau and Design the Media have released POLIVOKS Live Pack, a free Ableton Live pack featuring the sounds of the Formanta Radio Factory Polivoks analog synthesizer.

New Ableton Live Pack designed by Tristan Héau, with a collection of more than 300 samples from the very famous Russian synth POLIVOKS. Those sounds where carefully recorded, using a accurate tuner, and APOGEE preamps in order to catch that raw, nasty, analog sounds from this eastern beast.

POLIVOKS Live Pack is avaialble for free download via Design the Media (free registration is required).

I can’t test this one myself since I don’t have Ableton Live, but according to the info on the download page there’s plenty of goodies in the pack. You’ll find drum kits, Simpler presets, Polivoks waveforms for creating your own instrument racks, etc.

I wonder if this will work in Ableton Live Lite (I got that version during the SoundCloud special). Ideally, I’d like to to export the WAV samples using Live Lite and then use them in a different DAW. Any tips?

UPDATE: Tested in Live Lite 8. About 50% stuff works in the Lite version. Generally speaking, what I managed to hear so far is top notch! You also get AIFF files in the installation folder.

same here, i installed Live Lite just to be able to test this. some of the instrument presets don’t work here, but i’d say around 50% stuff loads in Live Lite.

please let me know if you get a reply from Julien, as i’m also eager to hear whether or not the AIFF files are free to use!
