Xavier Kalensky has released Kx-PolyMod, a freeware virtual analog modular synthesizer in VSTi plugin format for Windows (made with SynthEdit, custom SEM modules written in C++).
Vintage modular polyphonic synthesizer with stereo SF2 player. To build analog 70′s leads!
Kx-PolyMod is available for free download via KVR Forums. The download also includes a small drumset in SoundFont with 12 instruments (3.3MB size).
The synth features a 15*12 Mod Matrix, a stereo SF2 player, 70 presets, MIDI Learn functionality, and a set of internal effects (Ring Mod, Compressor, etc.).
Big ups to Irion Da Ronin for sending me info about this synthesizer and keeping me in the loop with freebie releases while I was on holiday!

anyone tested this? looks nice but im kind of not a fan of downloading CPU heavy synths :D
i still haven’t tested it, but it was recommended to me by IDR.
Try them all !
They are worth it and not CPU intensive.
They are very good sounding.
U-He DIVA is CPU intensive ;)
cool thanx il try it ;)
and iv tried a lot of freebies that hit as high as DIVA thats why i was asking :D
cheers
but i didn´t find any free synth that sound so analog like the diva. i can´t hear any difference beetween the diva and a old hardware synth.
hi alex, have you tried the new one from TAL?
this sounds really good IMO. sounds really analog to like zebra but not as cpu intensive as tyrell, hopefully it can get some more presets in the future.
cool, thanks for sharing your impressions! i’m a bit intimidated by the GUI on this thing, tbh.
