OTT by Xfer Records.
Steve Duda’s company Xfer Records has released OTT, a freeware multiband compressor in VST and AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac.
OTT is a re-creation of a popular aggressive multiband upwards / downwards compressor setting used by many dubstep and electro producers.
OTT is available for free download via Xfer Records (no registration required, 369kB download size, Windows VST & Mac VST/AU plugin formats).
This looks brilliant, only I can’t figure out which popular aggressive multiband compressor are they refering to in the description. Any ideas?

I think, they just mean a certain compressor setting and not a specific device…
makes sense! perhaps i’ve just misunderstood their press release.
it is very similar in design to Ableton’s Multiband Dynamics, which itself has a preset named OTT… :)
Love Steve Duda’s freebies. 8-Bit Shaper is a classic.
and Delta Modulator is awesome too!
I think it is modeled against Ableton multiband.
But with a lot less options ;)

This thing is such a great sweetener/maximizer – just used it on a TV commercial mix that needed serious loudness boost – depth at 11% – really balances the frequency spectrum and opens the sound – thanks!
