AfroDJMac has released RubberBand Synth, a free Ableton Live isntrument featuring the sound of a rubber band recorded with a DIY contact microphone.
For my first endeavor with my new contact mic, I decided to try to record a rubberband. A simple rubber band becomes a deep and versatile Ableton Live synthesizer!
RubberBand Synth is available for free download via AfroDJMac (929kB download size, a working email address is required to get the download link). Please note that you will need Ableton Live to use this instrument.
ADM used a contact mike created by Creme DeMentia, a DIY & circuit bending collective. The microphone consists of a beer bottle cap and two two-liter soda bottle caps.
