Wildfire rack by Point Blank Online.
Point Blank Online has released a free Ableton Live rack which can be used to re-create the bass sound from Wildfire by SBTRKT.
The bass line from Wildfire is a main focus of the track, and gives a real dubstep feel with the LFO controlling the cutoff frequency. Ski used two of Ableton’s native synths in a chain to make up the sound.
The Wildfire rack is available for free download via Point Blank Online (requires a Facebook or Twitter post in order to get the download link).
The instrument uses only Ableton Live 8′s devices and Library sounds to recreate all of the sounds from Wildfire (click here to take a listen to the original tune).
Obviously, you’ll need Ableton Live in order to use the rack, but Point Blank Online has also published a video which shows all of the techniques which were used to create the sounds.
