Berklee College Of Music and Coursera have announced Introduction to Music Production, a free-to-enter music production online course.
Learn about the music production process—including recording, editing, and mixing—and the tools available to you to create contemporary music on your computer.
To join the course, visit the Introduction to Music Production page and sign up with your email address. Please note that the course begins on March 1st.
Introduction to Music Production consists of 6 lessons covering all major aspects of music production using a computer. The course is 6 weeks long, with 6-8 hours of weekly workload. And yes, it is completely free!
In the meanwhile, you can choose to also sign up for the Introduction to Digital Sound Design course by Emory University (I’ve sound up for this one!). This course begins on January 28th and covers various techniques of sound design.

I’m now enrolled in courses about music, mathematics, philosophy, biology, business and history. After some time you start resist free instruments you don’t need, but free knowledge from university teachers is something you can’t deny.
