MuLab 5 by MuTools.
MuTools has released MuLab 5, a new version of their fantastic semi-modular DAW for Windows and Mac (now with full multi-core support).
Finally it’s here: MuLab 5 has full multi-core support which means you can get much more sound and music out of your multi-core computer.
MuLab 5 Free is available for free download via MuTools (18.8MB download size, standalone application for Windows & Mac).
The program is available in three different versions (Free/XT/UL). The free version is limited to four tracks and eight VST plugins per composition. The UL version doesn’t have any limitation and is priced at €75. For more info about different MuLab 5 versions, please click here.
The new version of MuLab brings over 100 improvements, most important of which are full multi-core support and a built-in browser which can be used for easy management of all audio files and sequences in your project.
I’ve been a huge fan of MuLab for years, and I use the free version of this software as my go-to live VST host. It’s also the first DAW I’ve ever worked with and my favorite modular VST host around.
