HeelAudio has released DuckEQ, a freeware equalizer featuring a sidechain input, available in VST plugin format for Mac.
DuckEQ is an Equaliser that reacts to a side chain input, or in other words a Ducker that can act on specific frequencies.
DuckEQ is available for free download via HeelAudio (3.4MB download size, VST plugin format for Mac).
The plugin features a sidechain input, which can be used to duck specific frequencies. DuckEQ can also work as a basic sidechain compressor, or a dynamic EQ. I wish this one was also available for us Windows users.
HeelAudio has released several other interesting freebies in the past. Browse their website if you’re looking for some mix reference tools (they’re also Mac only, though).
