Mercuriall has released Mercuriall Harlequin, a free virtual guitar amp for Windows which emulates the Corford Harlequin MKI amplifier.

Mercuriall Harlequin Preamp based on The Harlequin MK1 that started the Cornford story.

Mercuriall Harlequin is available for free download via Mercuriall Speaker and Amp Simulation (6.4 MB dowload size, 32-bit & 64-bit VST plugin format for Windows).

The website is terribly slow, though, so I suggest that you get your copy of the plugin via KVR Audio. Follow the Dropbox download links for a speedy download.

Mercuriall Harlequin is a highly precise emulation of the Harlequin MKI amp. Mercuriall is known for high quality emulations which are extremely heavy on the CPU, and this one is no exception. You’ll love the tone of Mercuriall Harlequin, but you’ll need a fast machine in order to enjoy it.

  1. Would love to know the settings used on this clip. Also, why would you add NRR-1 (a preamp) to this VST, which is also a preamp? DId you mean that NadIR was used with Mercuriall?
