Solcito Música has released Arido, a free standalone version of their brand new additive virtual synthesizer in VSTi plugin format for Windows.
Solcito Musica has released a free Standalone Version of Arido 1.0 Synth. Arido includes a polyphonic driver to generate a greater variety of timbres.
Arido is available for free download via Solcito Música (3.5 MB download size, RAR archive, contains 1 instrument in standalone format).
This is the freeware standalone version of Arido. It features the identical set of features as the VSTi plugin version, which can be purchased for $8 at the link posted above. The standalone download contains instructions on how to obtain the VSTi plugin version of Arido.
Arido is an additive synthesizer (you can learn more about additive synthesis @ Sound On Sound) which is capable of generating a variety of timbres. It features a distortion module which works in polyphonic mode, by distorting each note separately.
The synth also features MIDI learn and pedal switch functions. It can synthesize all sorts of sounds, from basses and leads to pads and atmospheres.
