sixtyfive RMS Compressor VST Plugin By de la Mancha Is Now Free!

de la Mancha has announced that his previously commercial sixtyfive vintage style compressor for Windows is now available as a freeware download.

sixtyfive used to be payware, but is now free. If you would like to make a donation in appreciation, please consider donating to Cancer Research UK in order to help care for and find a cure for cancer sufferers.

sixtyfive is available for free download via de la Mancha (12.83 MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows, made with SynthEdit).

This used to be a commercial product, however de la Mancha had to close his shop a while ago and has now started releasing some of his old payware stuff for free. He has already re-released GTA and dirty harry as freeware and now dlM has been awesome enough to give away the sixtyfive compressor!

sixtyfive is inspired by the famous dbx 165A, a classic 1970s hardware compressor. I say inspired, however some test have shown that de la Mancha’s version comes incredibly close to the original. According to RHYTHMINMIND, the sixtyfive compressor is a great sounding RMS compressor with a DBX vibe.

Many thanks to de la Mancha for releasing his old payware stuff for free! I hope that his online shop will open again and that he will start creating new plugins in near future. In the meanwhile, support his cause by donating to Cancer Research UK in order to help care for and find a cure for cancer sufferers.
