Rekkerd has launched a new music contest! The contest titled A picture is worth a thousand words is open for everyone and features some amazing prizes.
For this contest, the idea is to take a photograph as your “muse” for a piece of music. Kind of similar to how you would write a soundtrack for a film.

The idea is to create a music track inspired by a photo of your choice. You can use any tools you like for creating the track, and Ronnie has also provided a bonus set of 16 free audio loops in 24-bit WAV format for people who prefer working with samples. Sounds like a fun contest and a great way to approach the music creation process.
After the voting stage, 9 highest ranking composers will get some pretty awesome prizes. D16 Group is offering 3 plugins of choice for the winner and another set of prizes for the 2nd and 3rd ranking contestants. Places 4-9 can choose from a great prize pool donated by ADSR, The Loop Loft, Native Instruments, etc.
The deadline for submitting your entries is December 13th. That’s around three weeks for now, which is plenty of time to create a great sounding tune. Good luck to everyone who decides to join in!
