Niche Audio has released a collection of three exclusive free sample kits for Ableton Live and Native Instruments Maschine, designed for use in techno and tech house tunes.

The freebie Niche Audio collection is available for free download via WeTranfer (81.1 MB download size, contains 48 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format, 3 kits for NI Maschine in MPRJ & MXPRJ formats, 3 kits for Ableton Live in ALP format).

The pack contains a selection of free samples from Niche Audio’s currently available commercial sample collections. Each commercial release is represented with 16 one shot samples which were hand picked from the full product. The freebie pack features the sounds from the following three commercial Niche Audio sample libraries:
- Beat Machines TR909
- Naked Techno
- Deep Tone
My favorite one of the bunch is the Beat Machines TR909 freebie kit. It features a rather small but great sounding collection of Roland TR-909 drum machine samples, with loads of punch and character. The other two kits are also pretty neat and I recommend this download to anyone who is not yet 100% happy with their electronic drum sample arsenal.
Although the kits were designed for use with Ableton Live and NI Maschine, it is pretty easy to use these samples in virtually any sampler out there. Simply open up any of the provided kit folders and you’ll be able to access the individual WAV files for each drum kit.
