Atom Hub has released Cryptar, a free and unusual sounding sample library for NI Kontakt 5 based on a set of old acoustic guitar recordings.
I found some samples of my acoustic guitar and felt there is time to make some lib to say thanks to my supporters, but also to enrich the world of freebies, we all love. If some of you feel like “this is EXACTLY what I was looking for !” I have made an option to make a donation available.
Cryptar is available for free download via Atom Hub (23.0 MB download size, RAR archive, contains 45 samples in 24-bit WAV format, 11 NI Kontakt mappings in NKI format).
Atom Hub is known for releasing totally original and great sounding sample libraries (Barking Buddy, anyone?) and they’ve done it again! Although you might be disappointed if you’re looking for clean acoustic guitar recordings, there’s no denying it that the samples included in Crypto sound mighty interesting. It’s a weird hybrid between an acoustic guitar and an electric piano and it’s totally unlike any other sound library in my sample collection.
Don’t worry if you don’t own the full version of Kontakt! The download pack also includes individual samples in WAV format, which means that you’ll be able to use these sounds in virtually any sampler instrument out there!
