Audio Animals Introduce Sounds Of The Korg MS-20 Vol.1 Free Sample Pack

Audio Animals mastering house has announced the release of Sounds Of The Korg MS-20 Vol.1, a free sample collection featuring the sounds of the iconic Korg MS-20 analogue synthesizer.

Audio Animals presents ‘Sounds Of The Korg MS-20 Vol.1’, a compilation of free fx and modulated bass sounds made using Audio Animals Korg MS-20. The samples in this pack were recorded from the Korg MS-20, via a Focurite ISA One Pre Amp, and run through a Little Labs VOG, SSL 9K EQ and SSL 9K Compressor.

Sounds Of The Korg MS-20 Vol.1 is available for free download via Audio Animals (94.7 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 144 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format for a total of 97.6 MB of audio data when extracted).

If you haven’t downloaded Audio Animals stuff before, simply submit your name and email address and the download link will appear in your browser Window. You don’t need to register for an account at the Audio Animals website.

This is the first release in what seems to be a forthcoming series of sample pack based on the Korg MS-20 analogue synthesizer. The first release features a collection of SFX one shots and bass hits in 24-bit WAV format. Audio Animals have done a very good job at sampling this legendary synthesizer and the included sounds are both interesting and very usable.

Once again, I was eager to find out whether the included sounds are free for commercial use. Here’s a quote from the provided Licensing Agreement text file:

Only the original purchaser of this product has the right to embody and reproduce the enclosed sound samples within their music compositions. Use of these sounds in multimedia projects is limited to use within original musical compositions, 100% royalty free.

So, if you download these samples from the Audio Animals website through the standard checkout procedure, you can use these sounds in your musical compositions 100% royalty free. You are not allowed to re-distribute the samples or use them in projects other than your original musical compositions.
