White Trash – Free White Noise Sample Collection By Dark Side Of The Tune

2

Dark Side of the Tune has released White Trash, a free collection of drum and SFX which were created by modulating white noise in different ways and passing it through a spring reverb effect.

Mangled white noise is the source for Dark Side of the Tune’s latest free library White Trash. Modular synthesis techniques were abused to create intense sound effects and percussion. To add even more depth, spring reverb was added.

The library features a set of 50 samples which use white noise as the sound source. Various modular synthesis techniques were used to modify the noise into usable percussive sounds and SFX one shots. The samples were further processed with a spring reverb unit, adding depth and warmth to these mangled sounds.

Both 16-bit and 24-bit versions of each sample are included. The drum samples featured in this pack are probably much unlike anything else in your sound library. You should definitely take a look at this sample pack if you’re a fan of gritty drum samples.

Obviously, they will work great in industrial tracks. As for myself, I really liked the included drum and snare one shots. They remind me of the sounds of those really old Vermona drum machines which were used in early electronica tracks.

It’s also a good idea to take a look at the previous freebie offerings by Dark Sound of the Tune. You’ll find loads of great sounding royalty free lo-fi drum samples for your music projects.
