50 MB Of Free Samples By UMEK & 90 MB Of Sounds By Sébastien Léger

Loopmasters have announced the release of Loops From Behind The Iron Curtain, a sample library created by UMEK. They are also giving away a free 50 MB collection of sounds from the pack.

Loopmasters are proud to have joined forces with UMEK, who has created an exclusive 2.7GB collection of royalty free loops and samples which have been made for all producers of Tech House and Techno to enjoy.

The sounds from the library are designed for use in house and techno music. The full version of the pack contains 2.7 GB of audio data, including royalty free audio loops and one shot samples.

The freebie pack is available for direct download, meaning that there’s no need to register on the Loopmasters website in order to get it. The pack contains 50 MB of audio data, including drum loops, basslines, and a smaller set of one shot samples.

The drum loops are sorted into kick loops and top lines with percussion. The samples folder contains one snare, one kick, one clap, and several musical hits. It’s a rather small pack overall, but you’ll probably find some interesting loops for future use.

Unfortunately, there’s no licensing info for the free pack so I can’t figure out if these are free for commercial use. I’ve asked Loopmasters about this and I’ll update the article once I get the reply.

UPDATE: All included loops and samples are royalty free for commercial use, as confirmed officially by the Loopmasters team!

On a related note, Loopmasters have also released a library called Funky Tech House which was created by Sébastien Léger. Aimed at tech house producers, the full product contains 268 loops and 419 one shots, adding up to 1.5 GB of royalty free audio material.
