Beatmatch has released 808 Grooves, a free Ableton Live project featuring a collection of loops made with classic Roland TR-808 drum machine sounds.
We’ve released a new free to download Ableton Live project. 808 Grooves is a collection of eight pre-produced minimal techno grooves (separated into 6 audio channels). The whole project is in similar vein as the previously released 909 Grooves project.
To use the project file, you’ll need a working installation of Ableton Live 8 or higher. The project is optimized for use with the Novation Launchpad, Akai Apc40 and Ableton Push controllers, although these are not required. Individual WAV files can be extracted from the download pack too, so you’ll be able to use the included loops in your favorite DAW even if you’re not a Live user.
808 Grooves contains 40 drum loops in total, spread across five presets for easy triggering on the fly. The included drum loops are inspired by minimal techno and tech house. A selection of bass lines and synth loops from the Minimal Techno : Mini Pack project are also included in the download.
