Sound Dust has announced the release of Fireworks Maschine, a free NI Machine expansion pack based on a set of field recordings which capture the sound of fireworks.
Sound Dust launches a Maschine version of the Modular Chaos Engine and a free Fireworks Maschine expansion pack for Maschine 2 made entirely from field recordings of fireworks.
The free NI Maschine 2 extension is based on an old freebie sample pack by Sound Dust, which can be downloaded from their Freebies page. I don’t own Maschine so I cant put the Fireworks Maschine extension to test, however I’ve always loved that old fireworks sample pack.
The original Fireworks freebie pack features a ton of totally awesome sounds and judging by the Fireworks Maschine audio demo I’m quite sure that Sound Dust has put them to great use inside Maschine. Some of the included explosions and swoosh sounds will work perfectly for all sorts of SFX and most of them will also work very well as found percussion.
Sound Dust has also launched Found Maschine, a found sound extension for NI Maschine which can be purchased for £20 in bundle with the Modular Chaos Engine #1 instrument library for NI Kontakt. Although they’re based on the same collection of samples, people who use both NI Kontakt and NI Maschine will definitely benefit from grabbing both formats in a single package.
