ReValver 4 Free by Peavey!

Peavey has released ReValver 4, a guitar amplifier modeling software suite for Windows and Mac based digital audio workstations. The free version of the software features several useful models of guitar amplifiers and effect pedals.

ReValver 4 is redesigned from the ground up featuring more in depth modeling allowing for even more realism in tone, dynamics & feel in a stand alone program or as a AAX, VST or AU plug in.

The software suite works in standalone mode and additional VST/AU/AAX plugin versions are available for use in your favorite plugin host application. The installer for the free version can be downloaded directly from the official product page linked below and there’s no need to sign up for a user account in order to get the download link.

The basic free version of ReValver 4 features two virtual guitar amplifiers, a cut-down version of the RIR 2 cabinet modeling tool with three virtual cabinets and three microphones, one distortion and one tremolo guitar pedal, along with several other bonus tools. This set of effects can be further expanded by purchasing additional tools in the Amp Store.

I’ve yet to put this free guitar amplifier suite to test, but it seems like a very nice offer on paper. It’s very similar feature-wise to free products offered by Native Instruments and IK Multimedia, so it will be fun to compare them and decide on which one is the best pick. If you have any suggestions regarding this comparison, please post them in the comments section below!
