Black Octopus Sound has announced the release of a free sample pack which contains a selection of high quality royalty free dubstep sounds from their commercial Leviathan sample library.
The free taster pack contains over 300 audio samples and loops which were handpicked from the full version of the product. You’ll find some great sounding drum hits and sound effects inside, along with a bunch of dubstep drum loops, lead sequences and even some multi-sampled bass patches. The official product page describes Leviathan as a sound library aimed at all music genres, however I’d say that it’s mostly suited for use in contemporary dubstep and complextro tunes. There are some fantastic sounds inside, so you definitely don’t want to miss this offer if you’re a dubstep producer.

The best part of the deal is that these freebie samples are also royalty free, which means that you’re allowed to use them in your commercial music releases free of charge. If you like sounds included in the taster pack, you can purchase the full version of Leviathan for $99 and get the additional 4 GB of audio material with over 5000 audio files.
In order to download the freebie pack, you can either use the download link on the Facebook page linked below (requires clicking the Like button), or get in touch with the Black Octopus Sound support team and ask them to send you the download link via email.
If you choose go down the Facebook route, you will download a text file which contains links to four different mirrors of the sample pack, which you can simply paste into your browser in order to start the download. The Facebook page linked below also contains download links for nine other freebies, including some free vocals and kick drum samples among other interesting stuff.
