Amazing Machines Releases Amazing PEQ-1 Free Equalizer For NI Reaktor

Amazing PEQ-1 Free by Amazing Machines.Amazing PEQ-1 Free is an interesting free 1-band equalizer and saturation effect for Native Instruments Reaktor, released by Amazing Machines.

The effect consists of a simple 1-band equalizer with gain/frequency/cue factor controls and a “preset warmer” which acts as a saturation module for “warming up” the processed signal. Both the equalizer and saturation modules can be bypassed individually, so the plugin can work either as a simple EQ or a saturation effect. Of course, it’s also possible to run both modules at the same time for a combo effect.

I haven’t tested the effect, but the demo video (embedded below) gives a pretty good idea about what the Amazing PEQ-1 Free can do and how it sounds. It seems like a useful tool for adding some additional character to the processed audio signal and it reminds me a bit of the FilterCrusher effect which was created by Audio Assault and is available for free download right here on BPB (it’s a free VST/AU plugin for Windows and Mac OS).

Please note that the full version of NI Reaktor is required in order to use Amazing PEQ-1 Free without any limitations. The effect will work for fifteen minutes in the freeware Reaktor Player. The download page features a user manual in PDF format, which explains the installation process.

Speaking of freebies for NI Reaktor, we’ve recently seen another release from Boscomac. He has released Tremodraw, an unusual tremolo effect which allows the user to create complex tremolo curves by combining different waveform shapes. The curve can also be randomized and it automatically syncs to the host application’s tempo. Pretty neat!
