Logitunes has released Free Uplifter Effect Samples, a free collection of riser sound effects suitable for use in various genres of electronic dance music.
The download pack contains 35 individual samples in 24-bit WAV format. The included risers and tension builders sound absolutely great and I’m sure that you’ll find them quite useful if you produce house, techno, dubstep, or any similar music genre which benefits from this type of sounds.
The sound quality is great and I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of the included samples. The pack contains a set of white noise risers, pitched tension builders and some very long build-up sequences which can be layered underneath a complete section of a track. The included samples are labeled quite descriptively, which may help with finding the appropriate sound effect quickly (although you’ll probably still want to browse to all of the sounds and pick your favorite ones).
I wish the pack included some info about the tempo setting for each sound effect, however you’ll probably need to do some manual tweaking in order to get these sounds to follow the tempo of your project. That’s the only minor flaw of this freebie pack and everything else is absolutely top notch.
