ModeAudio has announced that their Free Label Sampler which is offered as a free download to all of their email subscribers has been updated with a large selection of brand new audio material from their latest releases, adding up to over 500 MB of audio content in total.
The sampler features a selection of audio loops, one shot samples, instrument presets and MIDI sequences from 25 different releases. There are 480 individual items inside the pack, containing all sorts of great sounding bits and pieces which have been taken from various ModeAudio sound libraries and preset packs.
If you’re looking for drum hits, you’ll find over thirty drum one shots in the pack. The free sampler also features 49 different percussive hits from a commercial sound pack called Klang, which I’ve reviewed a few months ago.
If you prefer using loops, there are more than a couple hundred of those inside! You’ll also find around 50 individual Massive and FM8 presets, as well as some really nice sounding SFX hits in WAV format. The sampler even contains a small but rather useful collection of field recordings. I’ve been doing some audio design work for several video projects recently and that made me realize how incredibly important it is to have a well organized collection of foley sounds and field recordings on your hard drive for this sort of work.
The most important thing of course is that the contents of the freebie sampler can be used 100% royalty free, even in commercial projects. So this isn’t just some random demo sample collection for preview purposes. This is a proper sound library, with some great sounds which you can use in your commercial tracks!

You will instantly receive an email which contains eight different download links. The contents of these eight packs are essentially the same, however you should pick the proper format for your DAW (there are different packs for Ableton Live, FL Studio, Propellerhead Reason, etc.).

Great sample pack! …But the wording is a bit misleading. I subscribed to their newsletter and downloaded the SAMPLES and presets, but no actual sampler instrument. Am I missing something?
