Tonebuilder has introduced Driven Machine Drums 3, an epic collection of 5,159 saturated drum machine samples. A taster pack of 131 samples from the full library is available for free download from the Tonebuilder website.
The full version of the product contains 5,159 processed drum machine samples in total, sorted into two collections: Driven Machine Drums 3 and Driven Machine Drums MD. Driven Machine Drums 3 was created using a variety of vintage and modern drum machines, modular synthesizers and analog effects, whereas Driven Machine Drums MD relies exclusively on the Elektron Machine Drum as the sound source. The library includes WAV and AIFF versions of each sample, along with 202 NI Kontakt, Logic EXS-24 and Ableton Live instrument patches. A collection of 41 kits for Ableton Drum Racks, FXpansion Geist, FXpansion Guru, NI Maschine and Elektron Octratrack is also included in the bundle.
The free version of the library contains 131 samples sorted into seven folders: Claps, Hats+Cymbals, Kicks, Percussion, Snares, Toms, SFX. Each of the 131 free sounds is provided in three different versions: 16-bit / 44.1 kHz WAV, 16-bit / 48 kHz WAV, and 24-bit 44.1 kHz WAV. The freebie pack doesn’t include any pre-made patches, however the samples are neatly organized and clearly labeled, making the manual mapping process quite easy.
The quality of the samples bundled in the freebie pack is absolutely fantastic. The included drum samples are expertly processed and edited, standing up to the quality standards set by previous Tonebuilder releases. If you’re on a lookout for some seriously punchy 808 snares, Machine Drum kicks and other classic drum machine sounds, definitely give this library a try.
The introductory price of $77 for the full version of the bundle is valid until November 25th this year. The final price is yet to be announced.
