Over 3 GB Of FREE Production Loops By Heavyocity Media

Heavyocity Media has announced the release of Free Production Loops, a free sound library featuring over 3 GB of high quality cinematic audio loops in WAV and REX format.

After completing a somewhat complicated download procedure (more info about that below), I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the included loop content. Covering a wide range of cinematic drum loops and synthesized sequences, the library provides tons of great sounding loop content that is suitable for use in movie soundtracks, various styles of electronic music, as well as cinematic sound design. All included loops were made using Heavyocity’s paid DM-307 cinematic drum hit generator and the virtual instruments included in their premium AEON Collection virtual instrument bundle.

The content is sorted into two categories: melodic loops (that were crafted using the AEON Collection) and percussive loops (made with the DM-307 Modern Groove Designer virtual instrument). The melodic loops are categorized into basslines and lead sequences. The percussive loops are provided as mixed loops and stems which can be further mixed and manipulated by the user. All loops are labeled with BPM information. The library occupies 3.68 GB of hard drive space when extracted.

Please note that you’ll need to register for a user account at the Heavyocity website in order to download your free copy of the library. The download link is delivered via email after completing the checkout process. The download procedure requires the installation of the Continuata Connect download manager, which will probably be a deal breaker for some users. The confirmation email explains that it is also possible to obtain normal download links (which don’t require the Connect downloader), but those download links didn’t work in my case.

  1. Just wanted to say that Continuata won’t be a deal breaker for me at all. Any time I’ve ever used that tool, the installations have been flawless. It doesn’t have ads, or any nonsense involved. It does, however, merge the downloaded split RARs and get them installed in an unattended manner. I’ve kicked it off, gone for dinner, and come home to a successful installation.

I’m not suggesting it’s the best thing since sliced bread, just a solid delivery platform that shouldn’t be feared or unnecessarily knocked. Always works like a champ for me.

    • ^ I second that, Ferric. It took a minute, but everything went swimmingly with no problem at all. It’s a beautiful loop library filled with incredibly useful sounds. Worth the download every step of the way. Big thanks to the good people at Heavyocity Media for giving these away. They didn’t have to. But they did. Very cool indeed :)
