Free Noverture Vocal Sample Pack By Gravitas Recordings

Gravitas Recordings has released Noverture Vol. 2, a free female vocal sample collection featuring over 150 MB of high quality royalty free sample content.

The pack is the second release in the Noverture sample pack series by Gravitas Recordings, following the excellent Noverture Vol. 1 field recording collection. Unlike its predecessor, the new release focuses entirely on female vocals and delivers a fantastic royalty free collection of female vocal loops, melodic phrases, spoken word samples, ad libs and processed vocal SFX for use in music production and sound design.

Noverture Vol. 2 contains 92 samples and loops in total, featuring the performances of two female vocalists: Cristina Soto and Raquel Divar. The pack provides a diverse mixture of different vocal styles, ranging from rapping, speech and shouts to classic singing and modern glitchy sound effects. Needless to say, the recording quality is top notch and the editing is also done very well. The majority of included samples are 100% dry. Good quality vocals are usually very hard to find for this price, so you should definitely grab this freebie if you’re in the market for royalty free female vocal samples and loops.

The product’s only real drawback is the fact that the samples are provided in 16-bit WAV format. It would be cool if the sample pack could be updated with a 24-bit version in the future, or even if Gravitas Recordings decide to release the potential 24-bit version as a paid upgrade (or a larger commercial sample library). Either way, Noverture Vol. 2 is one of the finest free vocal sample packs around and it’s definitely worth the download.
