Soundtoys Launches “Give A Little, Get A Little” Campaign

17

Soundtoys have launched the Give a Little, Get a Little charity campaign in which they’ll be offering a different plugin on a pay what you want basis each week, whereas 100% of the proceedings will be donated to Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS).

The campaign is kicking off with Little MicroShift, the brilliant little vocal widener effect (based on the Eventide H3000 harmonizer) that is normally priced at $79 and available as a VST/AU/AAX plugin for Windows and Mac OS (an iLok user account is required in order to activate the plugin). A different product from the Soundtoys “Little” plugin lineup will be offered each week. This particular product series currently consists of three different plugins: Little MicroShift, Little AlterBoy (pitch shifter effect), Little PrimalTap (a great little digital delay) and Little Radiator (tube mic preamp emulation).

UPDATE #1: The current offer is Little Radiator, a great sounding tube preamp emulation.

UPDATE #2: Currently on offer is Little PrimalTap, a digital delay effect.

You’ll be able to choose any price you want when adding the product to your shopping cart. There is no minimum price requirement (you can enter zero as the price if you want), but do keep in mind that the whole point of this campaign is to help the people in need while still getting something in return. All proceedings will go directly to Migrant Offshore Aid Station which helps the people in distress at sea, or trapped on unsafe vessels. For example, a donation of $22 is enough to provide one life jacket, while $55 supplies one emergency pack.

Little MicroShift by Soundtoys (VST/AU/AAX)

Little MicroShift is the fist offering in the “Give a Little, Get a Little” campaign by Soundtoys.

It’s great to see initiatives such as this one becoming more and more common in the music production community. KVR Audio member Luftrum and dozens of other KVR Forum members managed to raise $32,865 for Save The Children in this year’s edition of the annual Call To Arms campaign. Most of us who make music using computers, synthesizers and other geeky pieces of equipment are lucky enough to enjoy a normal life without living in fear, poverty, or being hungry and ill. Our help can mean a lot to those in need.
