Sound Author Releases Undertow Sound Bank For Zebra 2

Sound Author has released Undertow, a pay what you want (for a limited time only) sound bank for the Zebra 2 virtual synthesizer by U-He.

The library contains a set of 84 complex patches for U-He’s workhorse modular synthesizer Zebra 2. Covering a wide variety of arpeggiated sequences, percussive loops, pads, drones, atmospheres and textures, the library is a great resource of inspiration for aspiring electronic musicians, cinematic composers and sound designers.

Included in the pack are 10 atmosphere presets, 7 bass presets, 13 drum presets and percussion loops, 1 lead preset, 20 pad presets with full XY pad routing, 10 pluck and bells presets and 23 sequences. Most of the included patches include XY pad assignments for easy sound manipulation during a performance, however pitch wheel and mod wheel assignments are not pre-mapped.

Undertow is the first commercial release by Sound Author, the sound designer behind the excellent Project Pegasus and Project Exodus sound libraries that were released by 99Sounds. The library is now available on a pay what you want basis via Gumroad (with no minimum payment requirement), however the price will be increased to $12 as of January 7th, 2016. A freely downloadable demo version of the sound bank will be hosted on the official Zebra Family Presets page (containing several patches from the full release). At the moment, you can enter any price you want (including $0 if you want to grab it for free) when adding Undertow to your shopping cart.

UPDATE: The sound bank will remain “pay what you want” until it is updated with performance controls for each included presets. After the update, the price will be increased to $12, as planned.
