Free Orchestra Chords Kontakt Library Released By Sonuscore (WAV)

Sonuscore has announced the release of Orchestra Chords, a free orchestral sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt 5 (full version of Kontakt required) and all WAV compatible sampler instruments.

Orchestra Chords is the company’s first ever freebie release. Sonuscore’s commercial products include a variety of orchestral sound libraries for Native Instruments Kontakt, covering everything from action movie soundtrack-oriented orchestral drums to lush strings and emotional cello loops.

The freebie pack is quite a simple affair compared to Sonuscore’s commercial sound libraries, however this level of simplicity is actually one of it strengths. Orchestra Chords was designed as a bread and butter instrument for underscoring orchestral chords and it is incredibly easy to use, while sounding absolutely top notch! The included Kontakt 5 patch features a minimalist user interface with no more than a single knob (for adjusting the reverb level), whereas the MIDI note velocity controls the chord interval. So, for example, playing the C note at low velocity will play a C minor chord, while the C note at high velocity will play a C major note. Easy!

The included samples sound fantastic and are also provided in 24-bit WAV format, which is great news for users who don’t own the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5. The provided NKI patch will only work for 15 minutes at a time in the freeware Kontakt Player instrument. Please note that you’ll need to subscribe to Sonuscore’s mailing list in order to download your free copy of Orchestra Chords (email verification is required).

Orchestra Chords is available for free download via Sonuscore (64.9 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 35 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format, 1 instrument patch in NKI format for NI Kontakt 5).
