A Sound Effect has released Surround SFX, a freely downloadable collection of royalty free surround sound effects in 24-bit WAV format (5.1 surround sound).
The freebie pack contains several surround sound ambiances of California’s nature environments. It is another excellent addition to the series of royalty free sound packs that A Sound Effect has been releasing over the past couple of years.

The pack contains seven recordings in total, adding up to over 1.4 GB of audio material in total. The recordings are between one and two minutes long on average and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. These are multi-channel surround recordings – you’ll need a 5.1 sound system in order to listen to them in full quality.
