99Sounds has announced the release of Antigen, a free drone/soundscape sound library crafted by Dronny Darko.

Antigen is a free collection of drone, noise, and soundscape samples in 24-bit WAV format. It is the 30th release by 99Sounds, adding to the ever-growing list of high-quality royalty-free sound libraries offered on the label’s website. The library was created by Dronny Darko, a drone/noise artist from Ukraine.

What’s also interesting is that Dronny Darko composed the demo track for the previously released Drones sound library by Red Fog. Continuing this collaboration, Red Fog has created the demo track for Antigen. You can listen to the demo in the SoundCloud player which is embedded at the top of this page. The track was made exclusively using the samples included in Antigen. It will give you a good idea of the type of audio material that you’ll find in the library.

The library contains 50 audio files in total. These are sorted into three categories: Aerial, Capsules, and Fragmented. If you’re a fan of darker sci-fi movies and noise/ambient music, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy browsing through the sounds included in Antigen and probably put some of the to good use as well. This is truly inspiring sound library which almost leaves an impression of being an actual musical piece. All included sounds are 100% royalty free for use in music, video, and game development projects of free or commercial nature.

Antigen is available for free download via 99Sounds (1.11 GB download size, RAR archive, contains 50 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
