Loopmasters Loopcloud – Free Cloud-Based Sample Manager

Loopmasters have launched Loopcloud, a free cloud-based platform for browsing and managing all your purchased Loopmasters content. A soon-to-be-released updated version of the platform will also include 5 GB of free storage for your non-Loopmasters sample content. The company has also started a 70% OFF sale in celebration of the Loopcloud launch.

Loopcloud is currently available as a freely downloadable tool for all existing Loopmasters customers. The platform can operate as a standalone application, as well as a VST/AU plugin for PC and Mac-based digital audio workstations. To use the platform, simply download and install the Loopcloud application on your computer, log in using your Loopmasters account credentials, and start browsing and managing your purchased Loopmasters content. The app allows you to import samples, loops and MIDI files into your DAW directly from the cloud, as well as to preview the sounds inside your DAW while automatically matching them to your project’s tempo.

An updated version of Loopcloud (expected for release in May this year) will allow users to upload third-party content to the cloud and manage it along with their Loopmasters content. All users will get 5 GB of cloud storage free of charge, with additional storage available for purchase through upgrades. All Loopcloud functionality, including tagging and one-click library sync across multiple computers, will work for both Loopmasters and third-party audio content. If you’re an existing Loopmasters customer, you can grab the app right away and test the Loopcloud platform on your machine. If you’re only interested in using it as a cloud-based sample manager for your existing sample library, you’ll have to wait a few more weeks.

Either way, it seems like Loopmasters are onto something great here. Managing large sample libraries is about to become way easier for all of us. Even the free 5 GB plan sounds very promising for producers using multiple computers to make music. Imagine having direct access to your favorite samples anywhere you go, all tagged and labeled, ready to synchronize to your DAW with a single click. Count me in.
