Riot Audio is offering the Bowed Glass Clouds morphing pad sound library for NI Kontakt as a free download for their mailing list subscribers until July 31st, 2019.

Bowed Glass Clouds is a brand new cinematic sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt released by Riot Audio. It is based on a set of recordings of bowed glass bowls and jars which were used as the sound source for creating a range of ethereal pads and various cinematic sound effects. The library is offered as a free download for everyone who subscribes to Riot Audio’s mailing list before the end of July.

Powered by Native Instruments Kontakt’s sound engine, the library gives the user direct control over parameters like layer morphing and crossfading, a 3-band equalizer, and a set of effects. The instrument takes full advantage of morphing between different sound sources, resulting in rich and evolving soundscapes. The user can adjust the intensity and speed of the morphing effect between the two target layers. The resulting sound can be shaped even further using Bowed Glass Clouds’ built-in distortion, delay, and reverb effects.

It’s important to note that the full version of NI Kontakt is required to use the library without the demo limitations of Kontakt Player. The samples which are used as the sound source can be accessed as WAV files inside the downloaded archive, but the truth is that most of Bowed Glass Clouds’ sonic appeal comes from the meticulously scripted Kontakt patch.
