AlioNoctis by HG Fortune.
HG Fortune has announced that his previously commercial AlioNoctis virtual hybrid synthesizer is now re-released as freeware.
AlioNoctis combines many of the benefits from H. G. Fortune’s ProtoPlasm, STS and Atonoise plug-ins with the ease of use many still love from the STS-21.
AlioNoctis is available for free download via KVR Audio (3.2 MB download size, 32-bit VSTi plugin format for Windows).
This synthesizer, like many other HG Fortune products, is a perfect tool for creating atmospheric sounds, pads and drones. It features 3 PCM-wave oscillators with 128 selectable waveforms each and an XY pad for easier live performance. The standard VA controls are expanded with unique Bass Enhancer, Spooks and Inferno features, which add to the complexity of the textures which this synth can produce.
AlioNoctis is now re-released as a free product, as part of HG Fortune’s NFG (nearly forgotten gems) project. Many thanks to HG Fortune for releasing so many of his old commercial products as uncrippled freeware!
