Beat Magazine has released Pittsburgh, a free Pittsburgh Modular analogue synthesizer sample collection for the Zampler virtual instrument.
737 MB of sounds for 10 000 fans: Danke. Thank you. Merci. As thanks for your great support this year (and for 10 000 Facebook fans) we spontaneously put together a Zampler sound pack from Pittsburgh Modular: exclusive synths, basses, leads, arps, pads and FX from the editorial board for many electronic styles.
Pittsburgh is available for free download via Beat Magazine’s Facebook page (469 MB download size, RAR archive, contains 49 patches in SFZ format, 1 sound bank in FXB format, 591 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
Although the sample library is posted on Facebook (in celebration of Beat Magazine reaching the 10 000 FB fans milestone), you actually won’t need an account in order to download it. Simply visit the page linked above and hit the download link to get your copy of this freebie. Sweet!
This sample library contains 49 instrument patches captured from the Pittsburgh Modular analogue synthesizer. The patches include warm bass sounds, leads, pads, drones, strings, weird SFX sounds, and more.
The download pack also includes Zampler RX (32-bit VSTi/AUi plugin format for Windows & Mac), which is a super awesome freeware sampler designed for use with SFZ patches. The individual WAV files are also included, meaning that you can use these sounds in pretty much any sampler you like.
You can download a whole bunch of fantastic free sounds for Zampler RX on the official website. There are loads of cool multi-samples captured from the Bass Station II by Novation, MiniBrute by Arturia, and a set of free Commodore 64 samples created by Rhythmic Robot and myself (grab the Kontakt version of that sample pack here).
