Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to see a free VST/AU plugin from Glitchmachines. They have released four incredibly awesome SFX sample packs in the past (Proximity being my favorite one) and I seriously had no idea that these guys were also skilled at plugin development.
Fracture is a pretty cool buffer effect which is geared towards the creation of glitchy robotic sounds and achieving all-round sonic mayhem. Judging by the demo track which is embedded below, Fracture is capable of generating some pretty cool chaotic sounds.
The plugin features a buffer module paired up with a multimode filter, 3 LFOs, and a delay effect. The interface is quite minimalist, but also intuitive and easy to understand. The download pack also includes a detailed user guide in PDF format, which is a nice touch.
