This sample library explores the deeper styles of techno and house, hence the cleverly picked name Dive. Much like the other ModeAudio sound libraries before it, Dive is not just another generic collection of house loops and samples. This sound design company constantly manages to add a certain signature feel and artistic depth to their sample libraries, making their products stand out in a sea of EDM sound pack lookalikes. Even their demo tracks are worthy of praise.
Dive contains 120 audio loops and 640 one shot samples, with an additional set of 100 MIDI sequences. The included loops cover bass lines, drum grooves, drum fills, pads, SFX and synths. The loops are grouped into twelve different construction kits, which can be mixed and matched together to create new tunes. Same goes for the included one shot samples and MIDI sequences.
A couple of months ago when I was reviewing the Beat Scenics loop library by ModeAudio, I was quite impressed by the number of variations for each of the included drum grooves. Having several variations of the same drum sequence at your disposal makes it much easier to sketch different sections of a tune and at the same time avoiding a monotonous rhythm section.Luckily enough, the new Dive loop library follows the same proven formula, offering two variations and a drum fill sequence of each included drum loop.
Although the quality is above average throughout the pack, it goes without saying that my favorite part of Dive are the drum hits and drum grooves. It’s a real joy to use such a well crafted collection of hard hitting drum sounds.
By the way, all of the included audio loops (except for the SFX loops, of course) come with a corresponding MIDI file. Pair these up with the included one shots and you get a super easy way to create your own custom variations of the included audio loops.

Final Thoughts
Priced at £15 and packing 302 MB of audio material, Dive offers a great palette of sounds for deep house and techno producers. The drum elements alone are worth the price and the included MIDI sequences are a fantastic bonus.
