Biome Digital has launched a completely rebuilt website and introduced a new version of their Welcome Sample Pack, offering 600 MB of free sounds to their email subscribers.
The free subscriber pack contains 151 one shot samples and 167 audio loops in 24-bit WAV format. The included sounds were selected from various commercial and free packs by Biome Digital, however it also includes a selection of exclusive sounds (not available in other Biome Digital Products). The pack also includes includes a 10% discount code which can be applied to any purchase in the Biome Digital shop (covering both the sample libraries and production services).
I usually don’t expect much from subscriber packs, but this one definitely delivers. The included one shot sample content is really good, providing a nice selection of drum hits, electronic bass sounds, synth stabs and sound effects. The loop content is also very good, featuring several different types of drum loops and a nice set of bass loops which were sampled from various analog synthesizers. Most importantly, the sounds are royalty free, which means that they can be used in both free and commercial music projects without having to purchase commercial products from Biome Digital.
In addition to the free sound pack, Biome Digital has also launched a completely new audio services section on their website site. They are now offering stem mixing mastering services, as well as full music production (which is also known as ghost production).
