Positive Grid offers the BIAS FX 2 LE guitar processing software as a FREE download for a limited time.
Nothing ushers in the weekend better than a free plugin. Guitarists, bassists, and folks that just love distortion can all grab Positive Grid’s BIAS FX 2 LE for free for a limited time.
BIAS FX 2 LE is a slimmed-down version of the full version and comes with a much smaller assortment of amps, cabs, and effects. What is on offer is good enough for most scenarios you can dream up for various genres. There are amps to cover cleans, mid-gain, and high-gain.
Famous amps, like the Marshall JCM800 and the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, are present. The other amps are likewise famous examples, like a boosted Vox AC30 or Roland JC120.
The cabs match up with the selection of amps and come with a variety of mics to select from.
BIAS FX 2 LE’s included effects are typical of what you’d expect for guitar processing. There are options for overdrive, distortion, modulation, delay, and reverb.
If there is one weak area for BIAS FX 2 LE, it is the cab modeling, I’ve been an on-and-off BIAS user for years, and I end up just loading my preferred IRs or using a different cab sim.
The recently covered MIKKO2 by ML Sound Labs or NadIR from STLTones both make great options. Pairing an IR loader with BIAS FX gives you quite a versatile combination.
It isn’t just suited for guitars either, as the different tonal properties evident in each amp can make for lovely inspiration when dialing in synth or keyboard sounds. From personal experience, I can vouch for the power of a modeled Mesa Boogie absolutely destroying a 303 bass line.
BIAS FX 2 LE is a great companion to the previously covered Neural Amp Modeler. Having a plugin full of guitar-ready effects paired together with such thorough guitar and bass amp modeling makes for a killer free rig.
BIAS FX 2 LE is available for Windows and Mac computers. Supported plugin formats are VST, AAX, and AU. Mac users on Silicon devices will need to run it through Rosetta, unfortunately.

onRequires providing birthday date. No go.
Chris
onSo put something random in there.
Frits van Zanten
onIt’s less about the effect than about their intention. Why do they want to know?
kek
onJust chill and put a random fake date.
Steev
onThey’ll be surprised how many people have their birthday on 1 January!
Michel
onFree is nowhere to be found on their site… (?)
Chris
onI noticed it wasn’t available here in Canada, so probably not available outside of the US. Are you outside of the US?

onHas anyone been able to claim this? It said the redeem code would be sent via email but I’ve seen nothing.

onSame here, did it twice so far with the same address, never got an email. Looks like this might be a screwup on their side where someone forgot to program the auto-response from the form submission.
Sucks because this actually seems like a worthwhile freebie.

onHi all. I had an account already with Positive Grid, and I tried signing up a few times but never got an email.
I tried again with a second email that does NOT have an account with Positive Grid, and got the email/code straight away.
I then logged in to positive grid using my original account/email, and applied the code to that account, and it seemed to work no problems.
Hope that helps someone.

onTried 3 different emails, none of them ever received anything,

Rob
onBeen over 24 hrs. No redeem code sent to my email. No reply from support. :/
Jorge
onI got a reply from positive grid´s support with my code, I used my account, and I have to say I have purchased some stuff from them before, not sure if that has to do with them sending me the code, or if its because I have an account

onSent a request two times, the first one was yesterday, got no email. I guess they need to hire better developers…

onYo Everyone, just want to tell you that I’ve just got the redeem code after threw my 2nd request a couple minutes ago.
And yes, I’m in the 1st january club, and no, I’m not US resident. Thanks BPB and God bless you all. Cheers~

onTheir support responded with a link on how to redeem a code, ignoring the fact that they never sent a code to redeem in the first place, now the link to the vst on their page is gone.
I would not trust a company like that with my credit card info, would you?

onOkay so I also tried it here to no avail using 2 different emails, but then I tried something different.
My browser has set up an adblocker which blocks ads and trackers (I’m using Opera). So I decided to turn them completely off just for the Positive Grid site, reload the link, fill the forms, and BOOM I instantly received the emails.
So perhaps this method could actually works out.

onI have to say I been with them since 2017 they are not the best sounding plug in I just stay with them cuz I already invested in all the different plug ins but once they move on to bias 3 all your bias 2 stuff will be obsolete and and you will have to buy the whole thing over again now that fucking sucks
