Prodyon has released a free preview version of their forthcoming Shortnoise 2 instrument for Kontakt 5, featuring a free arpeggiator patch called Ain’t We All A Dream.
To sweeten the wait until S2 for KONTAKT 5 will be released, I’ve decided to offer one FREE S2 instrument DAILY. Here´s the first one: “AR | Ain´t We All Dream”, an arpeggiator-texture with a metallic sound and rising reverb in the background.
Shortnoise 2 is based around an advanced 6 x 48 step sequencer (288 steps in total) with six patterns which can be triggered in real time using key-switches. The full version of the product will include a huge sound library (over 10 GB in size) and around 800 individual instrument patches.
The freebie version currently features just a single patch, however Prodyon has announced that additional free presets will be released each day until the official release. Although the free version of Shortnoise 2 shares most of its features with the forthcoming full version of the product, it does come with certain limitations such as the inability to load presets and a lack of certain advanced features.
Please note that additional sounds for the free version of Shortnoise 2 will be released soon and that you’ll need to install them by extracting them to the Instruments folder in the Shortnoise 2 installation folder. You’ll also need the full version of NI Kontakt 5 in order to use the instrument without limitations. It will only work for 15 minutes in the freeware Kontakt Player.
