Project WFX by HG Fortune.
HG Fortune has released a public beta version of Project WFX, an upcoming algorithmic composition machine in VSTi plugin format for Windows.
Now what is Project WFX? A 4 part algorithmic composition tool – or simpler an algorithmic music machine. And, no, it’s not an X-WoF – that series is definitively past. It’s something quite different. It’s more based on my very 1st ‘Wheel of Fortune’ as in AutoPlay the whole thing runs on my very special algorithms like shown in the recent demos. But you’ll be able to transpose manually via MIDI kb but still many algorithms will take effect.
Project WFX beta is available for free download via KVR Forums. Here’s a nice Wikipedia entry about algorithmic composition.

I have seen algorithmic music software go from being fairly expensive programs like “M” for Atari to the more recent programs by HG Fortune which are not only affordable but very flexible and fun to use. I am watching this newer program to see how it turns out!

onDo you know what happened with the GhostMachine Pro after HG’s death? Is released and available at all?
