Blakus Releases The Emotional Spiccato Cello Freebie For Kontakt

Blakus has released the Emotional Cello Freebie, a free spiccato cello sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Here’s a small Christmas gift! At roughly the same time I recorded the pocketBlakus samples, I recorded some short spiccato samples as well. These also were simple test samples, but hopefully you can have some fun with them!

Emotional Cello Freebie is available for free download at the v.i. control forum (20.7MB download size, requires Native Instruments Kontakt v4.2.4 or higher).

The instrument is based on the brilliant pocketBlakus cello sample library which Blakus released a while ago. The spiccato samples were actually test recordings for the full instrument.

Emotional Cello Freebie features only one dynamic layer, however there are 7 round robin layers and I must say that the instrument sounds very natural. Thanks Blakus!
