I am extremely happy to announce that the guys at Rhythmic Robot have agreed to join forces with BPB, with the ultimate goal of creating an exceptional sound library for the upcoming KVR DC12 competition.

Here’s a bit of info about the contest:

The “KVR Developer Challenge” is for anyone who develops Audio Plug-ins or Applications and, new for this year, Soundware. The challenge is to create and release a brand new free audio plug-in, application or sound library / pack / set that will benefit the community at large.

I’m sure you remember Rhythmic Robot from that nifty giveaway which they sponsored back in May. Needless to say, these blokes are masterful at creating Kontakt instruments and I was completely stoked when they agreed to work on this project with me!

I won’t go to much into detail about the project here (not sure yet if that’d be against KVR DC12 rules), but let’s just say that it will be groovier than the Turrican soundtrack and harder than Last Ninja 2. Perhaps it might even end up being a bit more exciting than Elite and somewhat more satisfying than finishing Monty On The Run. Ok, four hints is quite enough.

The contest deadline is October 31st, after which everyone will have one month to vote for their favorite entries. So keep your fingers crossed for us, everyone! In the meanwhile, check out Rhythmic Robot’s product range, grab the goodies from previous KVR DCs, and take a look at some of my older sample packs.

Finally, I’d like to thank BPB reader grobsen (check out his music on SoundCloud) who drew my attention to KVR Developer Challenge 2012 in the first place. Cheers man!
