Legowelt has announced the release of a free sample collection which features a set of one shot drum sounds from the Electribe ER-1 virtual analogue drum machine by Korg.
The library contains 150 raw and unprocessed drum samples which have been sampled directly from the audio output of the Electribe ER-1. The ER-1 is an interesting instrument, since it offers a nice hands-on approach to drum programming like the old analogue drum machines, but it’s a lot cheaper because it’s based on a virtual analogue synthesis engine.
I actually used to own a very similar Korg ER-1 mkII drum machine and I’ve sampled a bunch of sounds from it back in the day. Those samples are now included in the free Korg ER-1 mkII Drums & SFX sample collection which you can download right here on BPB.
Anyways, Legowelt’s new ER-1 sample pack contains some really cool drum sounds and it’s nice that the files are clearly labeled so it’s easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. The download page linked below contains several demo tracks which you can check out if you’d like to preview the sounds before downloading the actual sample pack.
