IK Multimedia T-RackS Opto Compressor Is FREE (Ends Feb 16th)!

IK Multimedia is giving away T-RackS Opto Compressor ($80 value) to all users who download, register and authorize the T-RackS Custom Shop desktop application (the process is completely free).

If you’ve been following our news section for a while, you’ve probably already snagged a bunch of commercial IK Multimedia products for free. They’ve been pretty generous with freebie offers lately. Some of the recent highlights include the T-RackS Classic Compressor (given away in March last year) and the AmpliTube British Invasion Bundle which was given away for free last month.

This time around, you can grab the excellent T-RackS Opto Compressor completely free of charge, as long as you download and authorize IK Multimedia’s free T-RackS Custom Shop application. T-RackS Opto Compressor is an analog-modeled optical compressor in digital form, delivering the same distortion-free gain reduction as the real thing. Optical compressors are often used for subtle processing of vocals and acoustic instruments.

Anyways, here’s how to get T-RackS Opto Compressor for free:

1. Register and log in to your IK multimedia user account.
2. Download and install T-RackS Custom Shop from the User Area.
3. Register, authorize and install T-RackS CustomShop.
4. Launch CustomShop and log in using your credentials.
5. Open the T-Racks tab and click the Restore My Gear button.

Make sure to complete the last step (Restore My Gear) as it is crucial for adding T-RackS Opto Compressor to your Custom Shop gear collection. Also, please note that this is a time-limited offer that will end on February 16th.

Being that the Custom Shop already contains several free mixing tools (a multi-mode metering utility and a great parametric EQ), this is a neat little package to add to your plugin arsenal, especially if you don’t already own an optical compressor.
