AfroDJMac has released Ohh to Ahh Vocal Synth, a vocal instrument formatted as a free Ableton Live rack.
I really liked the character a vocal sample gives on a synth. It’s not perfectly in tune, and it sort of captures the soul of a living breathing person. So I decided to tidy up the instrument I created for this song, and release it to you for free.
Ohh to Ahh Vocal Synth is available for free download via AfroDJMac (a working email address is required in order to get the download link).
The rack is based on a vocal sample load in Ableton Sampler, however the download also includes a Simpler version for people who don’t own Sampler.
The eight included knobs allow quick tuning of Cutoff, Resonance, FM Oscillation controls. You can hear the instrument in action in the demo video embedded below.
